What I feel when I have a high BG
- I can’t focus. It’s not that my mind wanders to other places, it just wanders to nothing; it zones out.
- Tired and lethargic, sometimes I don’t even have enough energy to properly put my thoughts into words
- I don’t put effort into anything I do
What other people see when I have a high BG (written by my parents)
- Kaelan is unfocused.
- Instead of reading or writing, he may be vaguely looking at the horizon.
- He has a hard time understanding what he is told if it is more than a short sentence.
- He may read a sentence over and over again. If you speak to him, he makes you repeat things over.
- He is vague in thoughts and expressions.
- He speaks quickly and his speech pattern is jittery.
- His writing is poor and not well thought out.
- He is unable to study. He can’t write an essay or learn a lesson.
- He forgets a lot.
- He does not sleep well.
- He is unable to make decisions, or when he makes them, they are poor. He may be unduly influenced by the last thing that was said.
