Spare gear at school
- At the nurse’s office, I kept lots of extra sugar, a box of glucagon, and a spare pen with fast-acting insulin in her fridge.
- At my desk, in my classroom, I carried lots of extra sugar. Later, when I was moving from classroom to classroom, my teachers would keep extra sugar that I would bring from home at the beginning of the year, typically large bags of skittles, and I would keep more carbs in my locker too.
